SEOUL, March 17 (Korea Bizwire) — BMW Group Korea said Wednesday it has replaced paper copies of its car warranties with a digital warranty system.
As South Korea’s first digitalized warranty in the automobile industry, the system is also BMW’s first around the world.
Customers will receive a single-page QR code sheet instead of a 20-page warranty guide and repair service manual.
The new digital warranty will be offered with all BMW models shipped since January and all MINI models shipped since March 15.
Customers will be able to check their warranty coverage, exceptions, repair schedule and parts replacement through the QR code or the BMW Plus/MINI Plus app.
