SEOUL, Aug. 18 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean Army has banned soldiers from wearing military uniforms to take “body profile,” the Korean term for professional body photo shoot that involve unbuttoning the shirt or taking off the top entirely to expose the body.
The Army headquarters recently sent out instructions to all units prohibiting service members from posting body profiles in military uniform online.
The body profiles of a few service members taking off their military shirts and posting them online have raised concerns about a lack of military discipline.
“We’re not prohibiting the body profile photos entirely. We’re just asking that members of the military not post these photos online,” a military official said.
In May, the Air Force also instructed all units to ban body profiles in military uniform for online use.
