SEOUL, March 23 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government on Wednesday unveiled the schedule for a variety of festivities that will be held on Nodeul Island, a 119,854 square-meter island located near the country’s financial district of Yeouido.
On April 1, some 100 teams of pet dogs and their guardians will participate in various festivities including races, performances, and training programs.
In September, the Seoul Food Culture Fair (Sept. 2-3) and Taste of Seoul 2023 (Sept. 16-17) will be held to introduce various cuisines from South Korea and foreign countries.
A permanent stage will be set up to hold free performances on weekends from May 6 to November.
The Seoul B-Boy Festival (June 3), Hangang Nodeul Island Ballet (Oct. 14-15), and Hangang Nodeul Island Opera (Oct. 21-22) will also be held on the island in collaboration with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture.
Nodeul Island will also be open for the Seoul World Fireworks Festival (Oct. 7), accompanied by outdoor music performances before and after the show.
