SEOUL, June 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics announced today that all new Neo TVs and smart monitors from 2023 onwards will come equipped with SeeColors Mode, catering to individuals with color vision disabilities.
Enabling SeeColors Mode is as simple as selecting the Accessibility menu within the TV settings.
SeeColors Mode serves as a picture quality correction feature specifically designed for colorblind individuals. It allows them to fine-tune the levels of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) light displayed on the screen, aiding in better color distinction and object recognition.
Originally introduced as the Sea Colors app in 2017, Samsung made it available as a separate app until last year. However, it will now be an integrated feature. Customers who have already purchased Samsung’s new TVs and smart monitors in 2023 will receive an automatic software update enabling the mode.
Furthermore, Samsung proudly announced that their SeeColors Mode has received “color vision accessibility” certification from TUV Rheinland, a German certification body.
