SEOUL, Mar. 27 (Korea Bizwire) — The reality survival series “Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground” has debuted at No. 1 on Netflix’s weekly chart for non-English TV series, the global streaming service said Wednesday.
During the viewing period from March 18 to 24, the South Korean show, which premiered on March 19, amassed 6.1 million views.
The Korean reality competition series challenges 100 physically fit contestants in a series of rigorous tests to determine the ultimate winner, who will earn both honor and a cash prize of 300 million won (US$227,700).
The first season, which aired from Jan. 24 to Feb. 21 last year, quickly became one of Netflix’s most beloved reality series, dominating the global top 10 non-English TV show chart and amassing a total viewing time of 192.63 million hours over six weeks.
Among the nine episodes of the second season, seven have been released on the streaming platform. The last two episodes are set for release Tuesday.
