SEOUL, May 31 (Korea Bizwire) – The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) of South Korea announced on May 30 the release of financial education videos with subtitles in four languages – English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai – to help foreign residents understand and conveniently access the country’s financial system.
The six videos, ranging from 12 to 15 minutes each, totaling 82 minutes, cover various topics such as using banks, savings products, credit cards, and insurance. They also guide viewers on exchanging currencies, sending money abroad, and preventing financial scams like voice phishing.
Presented in a format where foreigners consult with financial experts, the videos incorporate graphics and address recent developments, including public certification services, specialized insurance for foreigners, and the shift towards internet and mobile-based financial services.
The educational videos can be accessed through the e-Financial Education Center (http://www.fss.or.kr/edu/main/main.do?menuNo=300000) or the FSS’s YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/@fsskorea).
An FSS official stated, “By providing financial education content in multiple languages, we aim to improve foreign residents’ understanding of Korea’s financial system and enable them to utilize financial services more conveniently.”
