SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Korea Bizwire) –In a bold move that could redefine urban living, Samsung C&T’s construction division announced on Monday its plans to introduce a range of cutting-edge technologies in its upcoming apartment complex, Raemian Songdo Station Centripole, set to launch in Incheon’s Yeonsu district this October.
The project, fully managed by Samsung C&T from development to construction, will incorporate an array of advanced features, including an artificial intelligence (AI) system, electric vehicle fire response solutions, and integrated earthquake-resistant packages.
At the forefront of these innovations is the integration of AI technology into everyday living spaces. Residents will find facial recognition entry systems at both individual apartments and common entrances, alongside voice-activated lighting controls.
The lighting system will go a step further, utilizing sensors to analyze outdoor light levels and automatically adjust indoor brightness.
Parking, often a source of frustration in densely populated urban areas, will be streamlined with an AI-driven solution. The system will learn residents’ parking habits, guiding them to their preferred spots, while directing visitors to available spaces nearest to their destination within the complex.
Privacy concerns in the era of ubiquitous surveillance have not been overlooked. The complex will feature AI real-time mosaic cameras that automatically blur facial features, ensuring resident privacy while maintaining security.
As electric vehicles (EVs) become increasingly common, Samsung has addressed potential safety concerns by implementing specialized fire response solutions in EV charging areas.
These include flame detection sensors integrated with closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems for rapid fire detection and notification, as well as dedicated fire extinguishing equipment for swift response to EV-related fire incidents.
The development also boasts an integrated earthquake-resistant package, featuring specialized water tanks for firefighting and earthquake-resistant supports for firefighting, water supply, and heating pipes. These measures aim to ensure safe living conditions even in the event of seismic activity.
“Our goal is to provide a comfortable and safe living environment by applying state-of-the-art AI technology and safety solutions,” said Samsung C&T vice president Kim Myung-seok. He added, “We will continue to develop differentiated products to enhance the brand value of Raemian.”
The Raemian Songdo Station Centripole is set to be a massive development, comprising a total of 2,549 units ranging from 59 to 101 square meters in size. The initial phase of the project will see the release of 1,024 units in Block 3 for sale.
