SEOUL, Jan. 31 (Korea Bizwire) – A young Korean Designer’s braille reader design was selected as a nominee for a Lexus Design Award 2014. The young designer, Jeong Joo-Cheon, was one of 12 nominees selected among 1,171 contestants from 72 countries.
The third Lexus Design Award’s 12 nominees were screened by 6 jury members, including MOMA’s senior curator Paola Antonelli and architect Toyo Ito. The winner will be identified at the 2015 Italia Milano Design Week that will be held from April 13 to 19.
Four of the 12 finalists will get the chance to produce prototypes of their winning designs with assistance from world-famous engineer and architect Arthur Huang, game designer Robin Hunicke, architects and designers Neri & Hu, and designer Max Lamb.
