SEOUL, Dec. 18 (Korea Bizwire)Woowa Brothers, the operator of South Korea’s leading food delivery platform Baedal Minjok, unveiled “hyper-personalization,” “slow aging,” and “customized consumption” as major dining trends for 2024.

The company announced these insights on December 17 at the 2024 Baemin Restaurant Conference in Seoul’s COEX, leveraging its proprietary data to identify emerging industry themes.

To address hyper-personalization, Woowa Brothers advised the dining industry to adopt flexible menu combinations and provide customers with expanded customization options. In response to the “slow aging” trend, it recommended low-sodium, low-calorie, and decaffeinated menu items, alongside pricing strategies to cater to polarized consumer spending habits.

Chef Lim shared his journey of learning Chinese cuisine through self-study, launching his first restaurant from a basement, and navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasized the importance of persistence and positivity in achieving success.

Additional presentations included tips on side dishes from Chef Jeong Ji-seon of T&Mimi and coffee menu strategies from Fritz Coffee Director Song Seong-man.

Woowa Brothers also showcased its serving robots and Baemin Order, a table-ordering service, underscoring its focus on technological innovation for the food service industry.

“We hope participants can gain operational insights and develop clearer strategies for success in the coming year,” said Kwon Jae-hong, Chief Operating Officer of Woowa Brothers.
