SEOUL, Feb. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – Male beauty and spa therapy certificate seekers are increasing in numbers these days, due to increasing demand for beauty and spa services from Korean men. The Korea Testing Institute of Technical Qualification (KTITQ) said that there has been increase in the number of male applicants seeking the KTITQ’s beauty and spa therapy certificate.
Male beauty therapists were once scarce at Korean spas, due to the reluctance of Korean women to let themselves to be treated by men. However, more and more Korean men are voluntarily visiting spas, and demand for male beauty therapists has also increased. Now it is not unusual to spot one or two male therapists at a spa in Korea.
