SEOUL, March 31 (Korea Bizwire) — Pangyo district in Seongnam city will be developed into a 5G networked model complex by KT. Upon the completion of the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, KT’s support center for ICT venture companies, the company decided to establish a 5G network in Pangyo Techno Valley.
KT will also establish facilities that will help domestic and international companies develop more refined 5G related devices, software and services. Although SK Telecom has announced that it will jointly develop a 5G test center with Nokia in Seongnam’s Bundang district, KT’s planned 5G networked complex beats any other planned 5G test centers in size.
KT will also establish an ‘Open Innovation Lab,’ a 5G center that is s joint venture with Samsung Electronics, Nokia and Ericsson.
