SEOUL, March 31 (Korea Bizwire) — Busan’s Haeundae Beach will house a temporary astronomical observation center equipped with eight astronomical telescopes and staffed with astronomers on April 4, when the partial lunar eclipse will occur. The eclipse will start at 7:15 PM and last for three hours, with viewers expected to flock to see the moon’s reddish glow.
The center, which will be open to everyone, is being planned by the Federation of Busan Science and Technology in order to make astronomy more accessible to everyone. Astronomers at the center will be giving mini-seminars on eclipses, which will be easily understood by children and non-professionals. The center will also provide information about spring constellations. More information about the center can be found at www.mspark.or.kr or by phone at 051-501-6341.
