SEOUL, Aug. 25(Korea Bizwire) — LG CNS, the IT services arm of South Korea’s LG Group, unveiled a new ecosystem of so-called “agentic artificial intelligence” designed to streamline corporate operations and improve productivity.

At a media event in Seoul on Monday, Chief Executive Hyun Shin-gyun introduced AgenticWorks, a modular full-stack platform, alongside a:xink, an AI-driven suite of workplace tools. Unlike traditional AI systems that merely respond to prompts, agentic AI is meant to analyze, coordinate and even make decisions across entire workflows, he said.

AgenticWorks supports the design, deployment and management of AI services through six components, including coding and no-code builders, data preprocessing, integration hubs, industry-specific refiners, and model selection routers. The platform is underpinned by LG CNS’s existing DAP GenAI system and incorporates technologies from Canada-based Cohere and LG AI Research’s large language model, EXAONE.

Executives emphasized the shift from generative AI toward AI agents that autonomously pursue goals. For example, in corporate recruiting, the platform can analyze résumés and aptitude data, recommend candidates, and generate interview questions — raising productivity by an estimated 26 percent. It is also designed to integrate with customer-relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with built-in security features.

Complementing the platform, a:xink packages seven everyday workplace functions — from document writing assistants to meeting management and mobile office tools — into a personalized interface. LG CNS said that a pilot with LG Display improved daily productivity by 10 percent and cut costs by more than 10 billion won ($74 million) annually compared with external services.

The company plans to expand adoption across LG affiliates by year’s end. “We are building an environment where AI agents can connect seamlessly with enterprise systems, operating securely and sustainably,” Hyun said.

The initiative underscores LG’s ambition to position itself at the forefront of enterprise AI, at a moment when the South Korean government is also backing large-scale foundation model development through the LG AI Research consortium.
