SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — Kakao Corp.’s simplified advertising platform for small businesses has surpassed 5,000 active accounts just two and a half months after its launch, the company said Sunday.
Rolled out in June, the “Easy Ads” platform allows merchants to promote their shops on Kakao Map and KakaoTalk’s Biz Board with daily budgets ranging from as little as 100 won (7 cents) to 100,000 won. The service also automatically generates ad materials using artificial intelligence and delivers performance reports through KakaoTalk alerts.
Kakao plans to expand the service with more advanced AI-powered creative tools and extend ad placement beyond Kakao Map, aiming to give small merchants broader exposure.
The company is also cultivating an “Owners’ Community” for small-business operators, offering networking opportunities, training sessions, and government program guidance. After debuting in May for food and beverage entrepreneurs, the program expanded to fashion and beauty businesses in August, with a third round for restaurateurs set to launch this month.
Participants praised the initiative for providing practical insights and peer feedback. Kakao said it will continue to support merchants through seminars, offline workshops and networking, stressing that the platform is designed not only to boost sales but also to help small businesses build sustainable growth.
