SEOUL, Oct. 2 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Group said Thursday it has launched the second class of its H-Jump School Indonesia program, a youth education and mentoring initiative, in Jakarta.
A launch ceremony was held Wednesday (local time) at a hotel in Jakarta, attended by officials from the Indonesian industry ministry, Hyundai Motor Indonesia President Lee Ju-hun, and representatives of the University of Indonesia and Bandung Institute of Technology.
H-Jump School is one of Hyundai’s key corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs aimed at fostering future talent and supporting underprivileged youth through a structured mentoring system.
Under the program, university students mentor middle and high school students, while Hyundai employees serve as career mentors for the university participants.
Hyundai also provides scholarships, plant tours, job introduction programs and education camps to help the mentors’ professional development.
The second class of H-Jump School Indonesia has been expanded to include the Bandung Institute of Technology, in addition to the University of Indonesia, with 100 university students selected as mentors, which is double the number from the inaugural class.
“We will continue efforts to nurture healthy future talent and bridge education gaps,” a Hyundai official said.
