BEIJING/SEOUL, May 31 (Korea Bizwire) – Ri Su-yong, vice chairman of the North Korean ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, arrived in Beijing Tuesday in the first visit by a ranking official since Pyongyang’s defiant fourth nuclear test in January that soured bilateral relations.
Ri arrived in the Chinese capital with a large entourage of officials after leaving Pyongyang by plane, local sources said. Japan’s Kyodo News had reported earlier that Ri was on his way to China.
