SEOUL, Oct. 18 (Korea Bizwire) – Boy band BTS has become the first Korean act to remain on Billboard magazine’s two key charts for a fourth-straight week, according to the American music publication Wednesday.
The band’s EP album “Love Yourself: Her” clocked in at 15th on the “Billboard 200″ chart for the week of Oct. 28, according to Billboard’s website.
The album’s lead song, “DNA,” ranked 98th on ”The Hot 100″ chart, which aggregates individual songs. This marks the first time that a Korean act has stayed on the two charts for four weeks straight.
The band debuted at 7th on the Billboard 200 chart and 85th on The Hot 100 chart late last month.
BTS is the second K-pop act to have a Korean-language song on the Hot 100, following South Korean rapper-singer Psy, whose smash hit “Gangnam Style” peaked at No. 2 for seven weeks in 2012.
The seven-member act will perform in Taiwan on Saturday and Sunday as part of the “2017 BTS Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour.
