SEOUL, Nov. 29 (Korea Bizwire)A Chinese military aircraft trespassed into the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) on November 26.

Although KADIZ is not sovereign airspace, it is customary for countries to inform beforehand of their intentions to pass through.

The aircraft first trespassed into KADIZ near Jeju airspace and continued to fly within the area for over two hours.

It was less than a month ago that the same type of military aircraft entered Korean airspace in the Gangneung region.

The trespassing of Korean airspace by Chinese aircraft has become more frequent in recent years. In 2016, Chinese aircraft violated KADIZ 59 times without prior notification.

Last year, the number increased to over 70 times.

This year alone, Chinese aircraft have entered Korean airspace without notice more than 110 times thus far.
