SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — A subsidiary of South Korea’s largest cinema chain, CJ CGV, said Thursday it has recently opened its first 4DX movie theater in Australia.
The new facility is situated inside the Australian cinema chain Village Cinemas’ venue at Century City Walk mall in downtown Melbourne, according to CJ 4DXPlex Co.
This increased to 50 the number of countries where the CJ’s 4DX theaters are in operation.
Developed by South Korea’s food and entertainment conglomerate CJ in 2009, 4DX theaters provide various chair-embedded sensory effects using an array of special equipment. These effects include puffs of air, scented mist, seat motion and vibration.
