GIMHAE, Nov. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — The 2018 PyeongChang Olympics torch relay began in South Gyeongsang Province over the weekend, with scores of torchbearers holding the flame aloft, including disabled athletes.
Paralympic swimmer Kim Se-jin and aspiring swimmer Kim Dong-hoon were among the torch bearers during the first day of the torch relay in South Gyeongsang Province.

Supporters on the street cheered on the two, who ran with the Olympic flame despite their disabilities.
“I would like to give hopeful stories for more people to achieve their dreams and overcome their limits,” said Kim Se-jin, who ran the relay wearing a prosthetic leg.
Kim has won over 150 medals at numerous competitions both at home and abroad, including a silver medal at the IPC Swimming World Championships last year.

Kim Dong-hoon, who took the torch from Kim Se-jin, is an up and coming disabled swimmer who has won medals at swimming competitions nationwide.
Including the two, a total of 467 torchbearers are expected to run 297.6 kilometers in South Gyeongsang Province until November 17.
