SEOUL, March 31 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean boy band EXO climbed to No. 5 on the U.S. iTunes chart this week with its new album, “Exodus,” the group’s agency said Tuesday.
Released worldwide on Monday, the group’s second full-length album rose to fifth place on the U.S. iTunes general albums chart on Tuesday, S.M. Entertainment said.
“Exodus” also topped the general albums charts of 11 Asian regions, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines. In addition, the album was ranked third in Russia and Macau, fourth in Turkey and Slovakia, fifth in Sweden, sixth in Finland, seventh in Spain and eighth in Canada.
It also topped iTunes’ pop albums charts of 13 countries, including the 11 Asian countries where the album hit No. 1 on their regional iTunes general albums charts.
S.M. said the group will unveil the music video for “Call Me Baby,” the title piece of the new album, on YouTube and Facebook on Tuesday afternoon.
