SEOUL, May 9 (Korea Bizwire) – K-pop group EXO set highest record of preorders with its new mini album “Overdose.” Released on May 7, EXO’s new album secured 658,710 copies of preorders (Korean version 372,160 copies and Chinese version 286,550 copies) and set record in the volume of preorders in mini album history.
Upon releasing its tracks in music sites on the day, the title song “Overdose” ranked first in nine sites including Melon, Bugs, Naver Music, Daum Music, and Soribada and the syndrome affirmed the hot expectations of its fans.
Besides, other tracks including “Moonlight” and “Thunder” ranked high in the sites upon their releasing.
Meanwhile, EXO’s first regular album “XOXO” secured the status of Korea’s first million-selling album in 12 years with big hits of its tracks including “Growl.” With the success of its first album, EXO swept various year-end music awards last year.
