SEOUL, Feb. 14 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean actor Hyun Bin and actress Son Ye-jin’s wedding announcement last week has prompted fans around the world to offer their congratulations.
“Crash Landing on You,” the 2019 smash hit TV series starring the two celebrities, has garnered massive popularity worldwide.
When it was released on Netflix in February 2020, the series stayed on the top 10 list in Japan for 10 weeks.
In an official tweet, Netflix Japan congratulated Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin on their wedding announcement.
China’s largest portal website, Weibo, also posted an article about the wedding on its main website.
BBC Seoul correspondent Laura Bicker, too, joined the round of congratulatory remarks.
“Well, we all needed some good news!” she said on her Twitter account, adding she wondered if the wedding will be “at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) with her paragliding to the altar.”
The Swiss Embassy in Seoul also congratulated the two celebrities on its official social media account.
Switzerland is one of the locations where the series was shot, where the two celebrities in character gain each other’s acquaintance and meet again later in the series.
