SEOUL, June 8 (Korea Bizwire) – Korea’s job portal “FindJob” will introduce a TV commercial featuring “flexjobs,” the first of such advertising messages in the industry.

The company said on June 2 that it would launch a TV commercial message targeting those job searchers who want to get flexible-time jobs such as women who quit their job for childbirth and retirees in their 50s and 60s.Flexjob has become a keyword by the government in order to raise the employment rate up to 70 percent.

FindJob was the first job portal to create a flexjob section in its online site and has since put out an average of 30,000 flexjob classified ads a day. The new TV commercial will highlight flexible-time jobs for stay-home moms and older men and women who are out of work.

In one episode, a woman says she wants to work just three days a week, a housewife expresses her wishes to be employed after sending her kids out to school.

Choi In-nyeong, president of FindJob, said, “According to recent statistics, the percentage of women in their 30s in the labor market was 57 percent, a record-high level [based on May 2014 data].

We wanted to deliver a message in the upcoming commercial that we are the specialist in job information for women who want to keep both work and family.”

Since July last year when FindJob signed an agreement with the Ministry of the Gender Equality & Family to promote women’s flexjobs, it has worked with the Federation of Korean Industries and the Ministry of Employment & Labor’s Worknet to provide flexible-job information. The company is currently developing apps for women and retirees’ flexjob information.
