SEOUL, June 5 (Korea Bizwire) – The global air purifier market is forecast to expand 17.5 percent this year, fueled by burgeoning demand for the anti-contaminant home appliances, a report showed Friday.
The market is expected to be valued at US$6.7 billion by the end of this year, based on the growth estimates, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information.

Japan’s Sharp Corp. has the largest global market share of 13 percent as of end-2015, followed by U.S. Jarden Corp. with 11 percent and Japan’s Panasonic Corp. with 8 percent.
South Korea is one of the countries with a fast-growing air purifiermarket, which expanded to 630 billion won (US$562.1 million) in 2016 from 500 billion won in 2014.
