SEOUL, June 18 (Korea Bizwire) — The Good-hearted Shuttle Alliance has been established to support safe commuting for the transportation vulnerable, including severely disabled individuals.
A group of seven companies and institutions signed a business agreement to enhance the mobility rights of the disabled as well as to promote the employment of such individuals.
The alliance is a coalition established to upgrade and expand the Good-hearted Mobility service that was founded in October last year to help severely disabled workers to have a better commuting experience.
Good-hearted Shuttle Mobility helps severely disabled workers with their commute, with shuttle buses operating from their homes to workplaces, and is aimed at supporting safe commuting and efficient time management.
In addition to existing participants such as SK Telecom Co., the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and Modoo Shuttle, four new companies and institutions including e-commerce giant Coupang Inc. joined the alliance.
The newly-inaugurated alliance plans to expand the operational coverage of the Good-hearted Mobility Service in metropolitan areas by the end of this year. From a long-term perspective, however, it aims to offer the service nationwide.
