SEOUL, Oct. 22 (Korea Bizwire)The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has launched a campaign to protect juvenile fish to ensure the sustainable production of marine resources.

The government will work with Cheil Worldwide Inc., the advertising unit of the Samsung Group, and the World Wildlife Fund to design wristbands that can measure the size of juvenile fish for distribution at various events held nationwide.

The wristbands can be unfolded to measure the size of a fish.

The wristband is marked with size limits of red seabream, mackerel, and rockfish. If the fish are smaller than the size limits, they are categorized as juvenile fish and cannot be caught.
