SEOUL, Dec. 14 (Korea Bizwire) — HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Co. said Thursday it has won a deal from a construction company in Saudi Arabia to supply 100 excavators.
Under the deal, the construction equipment unit of South Korea’s shipbuilding-to-energy conglomerate HD Hyundai Group plans to supply 70 units of its 22-ton excavators and 30 units of its 50-ton model to Saudi Arabia’s Al Rawaf Contracting by February 2024.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The equipment will be used for a 400 kilometer underground water pipe construction project connecting Dammam in the eastern region to the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
Following the latest deal, the company has secured 800 construction equipment orders from the Middle Eastern country this year.
