SEOUL, May 10 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean auto parts maker HL Mando Co. said Tuesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with real estate management service provider AJ Daewon Co. for the commercialization of autonomous driving patrol robots.
According to the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on the commercialization of robots specializing in apartment management.
The robots will be responsible for ensuring traffic safety in apartment playgrounds and school zones, monitoring illegal parking, and detecting fires and other hazards.
The two companies will commence a trial at 48 apartments in Gwacheon, south of Seoul, with the aim of developing a viable solution in the area this year before an official launch next year.
