SEOUL, March 24 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean hotel industry is actively participating in various eco-friendly campaigns amid growing interest in ethical consumption.
Josun Hotels & Resorts is taking part in the resource circulation project Save the Planet Alliance campaign, organized by the Ministry of Environment, as part of its ESG management.
Transparent PET bottles collected by the hotel are delivered to CJ Logistics Corp. and then recycled into cosmetics containers for beauty and life brand Aromatica.
Josun Hotels & Resorts also marketed related packages at the Four Points by Sheraton Seoul Station and Myeongdong.
Kolon Resort & Hotel is now carrying out a Green Travel with Kolon campaign at its six resorts and hotels across the country. The campaign is aimed at encouraging its hotel and resort guests to take part in eco-friendly activities.
The campaign consists of easy-to-do environmental protection programs, including turning off unnecessary lights, the use of multi-use and vegan amenity kits, and plogging (jogging and picking up trash) activities.
Haevichi Hotel & Resort released a check-in green package at Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju and the Rolling Hills Hotel.
Those purchasing the package can receive an upcycled bag made in collaboration with eco-friendly brand Pleatsmama.
This bag is made by using mineral water bottles separately disposed of by Haevichi Hotel and collected by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corp.
