SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Korea Bizwire) – HYBE, the agency representing popular K-pop groups BTS and Seventeen, has announced impressive results with its global tour sales reaching approximately 250 billion won for the year.
Billboard’s recent “The Year In Touring 2023″ report provided comprehensive year-end statistics covering worldwide tours from November 1 of last year to September 30 of the current year.
Hybe’s global tour achieved a remarkable milestone, grossing $188.1 million and securing the fifth position on Billboard’s Top Promoters chart. Notably, Hybe stands out as the sole Korean company to claim a spot in the top 10 on this chart for the year.
Throughout the year, Hybe artists embarked on a total of 93 concerts around the world, drawing an audience of 1.6 million enthusiastic fans.
In the Top Tours ranking, which assesses artists based on revenue, Suga from BTS claimed the 37th spot, followed by Tomorrow by Together at No. 54, and Seventeen at No. 58. Suga’s tour alone generated an impressive $57.1 million in revenue.
On the “Top K-Pop Tours” list, Hybe demonstrated its dominance with five artists securing positions in the top 10, including Sugar at an impressive No. 2.
Hybe artists continued to make a significant impact on the year-end charts of major international media outlets. NewJeans’ “Get Up,” BTS’ Jungkook’s “Golden,” and Le Sserafim’s “UNFORGIVEN” received recognition on the New York Times (NYT) Best Albums of 2023 list.
Additionally, NewJeans’ “Super Shy” earned a place on The Guardian’s “20 Best Songs of 2023,” while “OMG” was recognized as one of the “Best Songs” by the Associated Press.
Hybe singers also dominated the rankings on various streaming and short-form platforms. Jungkook’s “Seven” secured the fourth spot on Spotify’s list of the most streamed songs of the year, the world’s largest music streaming service.
On TikTok’s “Most Viewed Artists of 2023″ list, BTS (#4), N-Hyphen (#6), Le Sserafim (#8), and NewJeans (#9) rounded out the top 10, showcasing the continued global influence of Hybe’s talented roster.
