SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean construction machinery maker Hyundai Construction Equipment Co. said Tuesday that it has joined in recovery efforts in the U.S. state of Tennessee following a recent series of catastrophic storms.
Hyundai Construction Equipment Atlanta, together with local dealership First Choice Farm & Lawn, sent equipment and specialists to Samburg, Tennessee, which incurred heavy damage from a tornado in December last year.
The company sent 15-ton, 23-ton and 25-ton excavators to clean up damaged buildings and debris. It also sent equipment to support road reconstruction.
In 2019, Hyundai Construction Equipment sent five excavators to Goseong and Sokcho in Gangwon Province when the cities were hit by massive fires.
In 2020, the company also sent 12 excavators to Chungcheong and Gyeonggi provinces to recover submerged greenhouses and livestock farms following a severe rainstorm.
