SEOUL, Jan. 21 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Glovis Co., a logistics unit of Hyundai Motor Group, said Thursday the launch of ‘Auto Bell,’ an online used car transaction platform designed to connect used car dealers with customers.
To establish a reliable dealer network as well as to prevent false advertising, the company plans to check the qualification of dealers when they apply to become members of the platform, while obligating them to submit the business registration certificates of the companies they belong to as well as the certificates that prove their employment.
Used car dealers can participate in the auctions held at three Hyundai Glovis-run auction centers and sell the cars they win through the bidding process instantly to consumers via Auto Bell.
Hyundai Glovis noted that the platform will help consumers feel secure about the purchase of used cars since they are distributed transparently through certified dealers.
The company plans to verify whether the used cars registered on the platform are actually offered for sale by linking the data of each used car auction center.
Hyundai Glovis started its used car auction business in 2001. About 2,200 dealers are participating in the auctions hosted by the company, with about 10,000 used cars offered for sale on a monthly basis.
