SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai and Kia vehicles have been recognized for maintaining excellent value as used cars in the United States, earning high marks for residual value.
The automakers announced on November 20 that the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Telluride were named winners in J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards.
The J.D. Power residual value is a key metric considered by American consumers when purchasing vehicles, calculated based on the projected used car price after three years compared to the new car price, taking into account used car performance and brand outlook. This year’s evaluation covered 311 models.
The Kona Electric was selected as the top model in the newly added Electrified SUV category. Meanwhile, the Telluride, Kia’s North America-exclusive model, earned the highest residual value in the Three-Row Midsize SUV segment for the fourth consecutive year.
A Hyundai-Kia representative stated, “These awards validate the superior quality and product value of Hyundai and Kia vehicles in the U.S. market. We will continue to meet market expectations by offering models with product values that customers can trust and choose with confidence.”
