SEOUL, Jan. 23 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Group said Friday its brands have won multiple honors across different vehicle segments at major automotive awards in Britain and the United States.
At the 2026 What Car? Awards, a major British automotive awards event, Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp. won a total of seven honors spanning their sport utility vehicle (SUV) and electric vehicle (EV) lineups, the South Korean automotive giant said in a release.
In detail, Hyundai Motor Co.’s Santa Fe SUV was named “the Seven-seat SUV of the Year” in the What Car Awards for its “family-friendly design and spacious interior.”
Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 N EV sedan was named “the Best Electric Performance Car” for its “dynamic balance, driver engagement and advanced performance technologies,” the company added.
The Sportage SUV of Kia Corp., a smaller sister model of Hyundai Motor, was picked as “the Family SUV of the Year” for four straight years for its “family-friendly usability.”
The group additionally achieved nine wins at the 2026 Best Cars for the Money Awards by U.S. News & World Report.
“The achievements from U.S. and British awards prove the group’s competitiveness across different lineups, covering small and large vehicles as well as electric, hybrid and premium models,” the group said.
