SEOUL, Jul. 9 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Group has released a poignant campaign video titled “Four-Six, Four-Seven,” showcasing the story of hydrogen electric buses designed to support firefighters’ recovery, the company announced on July 8.

The campaign is part of Hyundai’s ongoing collaboration with the National Fire Agency and Jeju Province to donate hydrogen electric buses that provide recovery spaces for firefighters.

Since last year, the group has donated a total of eight buses to various regions including Gangwon, North Gyeongsang, Incheon, and North Jeolla, with plans to contribute two more this year.

Additionally, Hyundai will supply vehicles and rehabilitation equipment to the National Fire Service Hospital, set to open next year in Chungbuk Innovation City.

The video’s title, “Four-Six, Four-Seven,” refers to firefighter radio terms meaning “Do you understand?” and “Understood,” respectively. Notably, the campaign features actual firefighters both on screen and in voice-overs, lending authenticity to the message.

The narrative unfolds as a senior firefighter shares a video letter with a junior colleague, emphasizing the importance of personal safety and rest in their demanding profession of protecting others’ lives and safety.

The film depicts firefighters recharging in the hydrogen electric bus between shifts at a major fire scene. These buses, emitting only pure water, are equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell system that purifies outside air to supply oxygen inside.

They also feature high-pressure air and water guns for decontamination, along with a ‘U’-shaped conference area serving as an on-site situation room, and cooking facilities.

To maintain the video’s integrity, Hyundai enlisted Lee Chang-hak, a 33-year veteran firefighter and chief of the Gangwon Fire Department, as the narrator. Lee is renowned for rescuing a six-year-old child from a collapsed apartment building during the 1999 Taiwan earthquake.

Hyundai Motor Group is also releasing a global version of the campaign titled “Got Your Back”. This international rendition will feature Peter Lee, a Korean-American firefighter serving in New Jersey, as the narrator.
