SEOUL, June 5 (Korea Bizwire) — A majority of South Korean drivers prefer Hyundai Motor Co.’s Avante compact car when searching for a used vehicle priced at around 10 million won (US$7,640), data showed Sunday.
KB Cha Cha Cha, a financial platform for secondhand cars, analyzed viewership data from May of last year to April of this year for vehicles priced between 10-15 million won.
The data revealed that Avante was the most frequently searched model by consumers.
Following Avante were Kia Corp.’s Ray minicar, Hyundai Starex minivan, Renault Korea Motors’ SM6 sedan, and Hyundai Sonata sedan.
In the same price range, among imported cars, the BMW Mini Countryman received the highest number of views, trailed by the Volkswagen Tiguan SUV, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Honda Accord sedan, and Audi A5.
Moving up to the 15-20 million won price range, the Kia Carnival minivan attracted the highest number of views, followed by the Kia K7 sedan, Hyundai Tucson SUV, Genesis models, and Kia K3 compact sedan.
In the imported cars category within the same price range, the BMW 5 Series was the most viewed, followed by the BMW 3-series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, and BMW 1-series.
