SEOUL, Nov. 17 (Korea Bizwire) – Incheon International Airport Corp. (IIAC) kicked off a clothes-sharing service, dubbed “Seinustar,” at the passenger terminal of Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul, on Thursday, an IIAC official there said.
The service is designed to rent garments to foreigners visiting South Korea to help them travel easier with lighter luggage, the official said.
Tourists who want to use the service should make a reservation in advance on the Seinustar homepage (www.seinustar.com), and can pick up their reserved clothes at the 13th gate of the airport’s passenger terminal on the 1st floor, he said.
A deposit is required when picking up clothes and will be refunded when they are returned, according to the official.
Rental charges differ by garment, and available clothing includes coats, jumpers and hats.
Seinustar also rents “hanbok,” or traditional Korean costumes, and K-fashion clothes for the increasing numbers of foreigners becoming interested in “Hallyu,” the global trend of the popularity of Korean pop music, TV dramas and films, he said.
The service plans to introduce a measure to sell the rental clothes if tourists who wear them want to purchase them, he added.
