SEOUL, July 17 (Korea Bizwire) – The International Youth Fellowship will hold a world culture festival in the evening of July 18 at Seoul Plaza in front of the City Hall. The event will feature Boris Abalyan, the conductor at Saint Petersburg Conservatory and the Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music, and Igor Lebedev, the world-renowned pianist. In addition, the Gracias Choir, the grand prix winners of the 2010 Busan Choral Festival & Competition, will appear on the stage.
The festival is the final event to wrap up the two-week annual International Youth Fellowship Camp being held in Yeongdong, North Chungcheong Province, with more than 4,000 college students from 50 countries across the world. The same festival events were held in Daegu, Gwangju, and Daejeon between July 15 and 17.
Park Young-jun, organizing committee chairman of the International Youth Fellowship Camp, said, “The annual event is a venue for thousands of youths from different cultures and backgrounds to mingle and learn from each other to become future leaders.”
Established in 2001, the International Youth Fellowship seeks to nurture international-minded leaders. It has 80 overseas and 10 domestic offices.
