SEOUL, June 1 (Korea Bizwire) — As kimchi fever is sweeping across Poland, prompting the launch of a number of kimchi-producing companies, the Polish people are attracting media attention by coming up with a variety of dishes made with kimchi.
The Korean Cultural Center in Poland held an online kimchi cooking competition on Instagram from May 6 to 20, in which 67 participants posted pictures of recipes and food they made with traditional Korean side dish.
“Kimchi, korean-style fried chicken, barbeque, and bulgogi are among the most popular Korean foods in Poland,” said Polish chef Piotr Brus-Klepacki, who oversaw the contest.
“Recent news articles suggest that Korean food boosts immunity, boosting demand for kimchi and Korean food in Poland as the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage on,” he added.
