[Kobiz Stats] Number of Start-up Businesses by College Students in 2013

While the government is trying to boost the domestic economy by reigniting a “second dot-com boom” encouraging young entrepreneurs to set up more tech ventures, fewer and fewer university students are daring to set up their own businesses. According to a report published by the Korea International Trade Association, as of July last year, only 407 university students started their own companies. Compared to the number of total university graduates of some 560,000 last year, it was only 0.0007 percent. Meanwhile, in nearby China, business starts-ups by university students keep increasing from 1 percent in 2008 to 2 percent in 2012. (see the full text of this news)
