SEOUL, Oct. 7 (Korea Bizwire) — Foreigners living in and out of South Korea competed in an offline Korean speaking contest that was held for the first time in three years at Kyunghee University on Thursday.
A total of 16 finalists from 14 different countries participated in the 24th World Korean Language Speech Contest for Foreigners.
The finalists gave speeches in the Korean language, under the theme of “Our Daily Lives After COVID-19″ and “Why I Learned Korean.”
First prize was awarded to 23-year-old Yuka Onoda from Japan, who gave a speech titled “My Goals from Korea.”
