Seoul, Korea, August 13 (Korea Bizwire) – The Defense Acquisition Program Administration has established the ‘Defense Robot Project Team’ and the ‘Leading Technology Development Team’ on August 12 to support national programs and realize the goal of the ‘creative economy.’

These new teams were created to contribute to the national economy by reinvigorating the defense industry as a pillar of the creative economy proposed by the Park administration, which will contribute to the national economy by creating jobs and generating new value.

Both the defense robot development and leading technology research projects are fields that require a convergence of a variety of technologies as well as cooperation between the military and the private sector, which will lead to greater economic impact. Both the Defense Robot Project Team and the Leading Technology Development Team are expected to play a role not only in the modernization of Korea’s weapons system, but also act as a growth engine for the future creative economy.

Based on these teams, DAPA also plans to establish a ‘Creative Technology Development Department’ to integrate various projects such as the unmanned aerial vehicle, robot, satellite, and core technology to maximize the synergy effects in the defense industry and pioneer the creative economy policy of the new administration.
