HADONG, May 12 (Korea Bizwire) – Hadong is an area in Gyeonggi Province famous as the first tea plantation site in Korea. Despite modern methods including the use of machines for processing, Hadong also produces tea using traditional methods, which results in higher-grade teas.

This year’s festival, which marks its 20th anniversary, will take place from May 19 to 22. In an effort to promote the festival to a more global audience, the committee is inviting foreign ambassadors, officials from Japanese museums and art galleries, and overseas buyers.

Various leisure activities and informational programs will also take place for visitors to participate and learn about the unique tea culture.
