SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. said Thursday it had selected Viva Magenta as a new color option for its Dios Objet Collection MoodUp, a refrigerator that enables users to change the color of the appliance via a smartphone app.
Customers will be able to add Viva Magenta to color options for the MoodUp refrigerator simply through the LG ThinQ application at the end of this month.
Viva Magenta, which was selected as the color of the year by the Pantone Color Institute in the U.S., is a red-tone color balancing the feel of warm and cold.
In collaboration with Pantone, LG is developing various color solutions to enhance the style of home interiors.
By adding Viva Magenta, the home appliance maker brought the total number of color options for the upper part of the refrigerator to 23.
