SEOUL, Nov. 8 (Korea Bizwire) — The usage of gatherings, concerts and outdoor dining apps has jumped in the second half of this year with the lifting of social distancing rules, data showed Monday.
NHN Data, a unit of leading South Korean information technology company NHN Corp., analyzed app usage trends among 28 million Android users, and the installation rate of an app operated by online ticketing agency Ticketlink jumped by 19.6 percent from May to October.
Others followed suit, including apps operated by Lotte World (16.1 percent), Everland (16 percent) amusement parks and ticket agency Interpark Ticket (12.6 percent).
Among those using gathering platform services, 77 percent were in their 20s and 30s, while 83 percent of those using dating applications were men.
The installation rate of outdoor dining reservation apps like Catch Table and Tabling jumped by 64.3 percent and 44 percent, respectively, led by growing demand for dining out.
