WANJU, May 11 (Korea Bizwire) — The National Institute of Animal Science on Wednesday held an annual memorial ceremony to honor animals sacrificed in the name of developing the livestock industry.
Every year, the agency conducts a memorial ceremony to console the spirits of animals that have been sacrificed during research and trials.
The memorial ceremony was conducted in a solemn manner.
On the altar, hay, cabbages, and radishes were placed — foods that are beloved by livestock animals.
The memorial ceremony provided solace to the animals that had passed away and offered prayers for overcoming the risks of animal diseases.
It also aimed to utilize South Korean livestock technology to contribute to the global livestock industry.
