SEOUL, April 6 (Korea Bizwire) – The National Institute of Ecology has introduced an augmented reality-based selfie feature to its park experience for a little extra fun for visitors.
According to officials, visitors can use an AR object recognition app, circusAR, and direct the camera at the ticket to have 15 animal graphics pop up on their smartphone screen. They can then choose any of the animals, which can be adjusted for size and moved around on the screen, for a special selfie.
The institute is hosting a photo contest exhibit from April 10 to May 14 using the new feature, and entries can be submitted through its blog, Facebook, Instagram, and Kakao Story pages.
