SEOUL, Korea, Jan 02 (Korea Bizwire) – Readiness Inc., a tech start-up, said on December 30 that it launched a location-based photo sharing mobileapp called “Triple.” The app won an award by the Korea Tourism Organization in June last year for being a creative innovation.
The app shows photos of places around which the user is located.Based on proprietary algorithms, Triple allows the user to find places to “eat,” “play,” and “stay,” meaning provides information on restaurants, entertainment venues, and accommodations. In addition, the app helps the user find stores nearby offering special discounts.
Lee Young-seok, co-president of Readiness, said, “We are constantly faced with mini-dilemmas where to go to eat, stay, and play. Currently available social networking services based on your own friend networks are not up to the task satisfactorily. Our new service can offer quick and easy location information providing photos of places you want to go.”
The company will hold a promotional event for about two weeks from December 30 to January 15 in which it gives away free gifts and free tour certificates to winners out of those who have installed the Triple mobile application and uploaded photos on the site. The Triple mobile app is available on Google Play and Apple App Store.
