SEOUL, Feb. 9 (Korea Bizwire) – Lotte Card Co., a South Korean credit card firm, said Friday it has begun selling Visa wearable payment devices for the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in PyeongChang.
Visa is the only credit card that can be used for payments at the Winter Games as it is an official global sponsor of the International Olympic Committee.
The wearable payment devices, including payment-enabled stickers, gloves and badges, are available for sale at six vending machines near Superstores in PyeongChang and Gangneung.
In a statement posted on the Games’ website, Visa said the wearable payment devices “will have a suitable winter theme that will both delight guests and make it easy for them to make payments at PyeongChang 2018.”
